About Us

We are pleased to announce the launch of Site Selection Solutions in December of 2007. Connie Bergeron, CMP, President of the new company, shares, “This is the next step of career progression, and we are looking forward to serving clients with site selection options globally.”

With 24 years of hotel experience and 8 years as Vice President, Global Sourcing, at Benchmarc360, Inc. plus 16 years as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Bergeron and her team are responsible for the site selection and contractual negotiations of more than 200 meetings annually.

Connie is an internationally recognized expert on site selection and negotiations, having written numerous articles for Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Georgia Chapter, the Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE), Conventions South magazine, and the Atlanta Business Chronicle, and she has spoken for many organizations including MPI International, GSAE, and Professional Convention Management Association.

Bergeron was on the founding focus group and has presented for six years as faculty for the University of Georgia’s Conference and Meeting Management Certificate course in the areas of Site Selection and Professional Development. Connie has spoken at the Convention Industry Council’s CMP Item Writing Conclave and attended the Conclave for five years, as well as chaired the CMP Study Group Committee for MPI Georgia Chapter 16 years.

In 1996, Bergeron was awarded MPI International’s top honor as International Supplier of the Year, and has received awards from GSAE and MPI Georgia Chapter as well for her contributions to the meetings and hospitality industry. MPI International named Bergeron as a Life Member of 2003.
